Class of 2013 Minnesota and National AP Exam Takers

  • Minnesota students of color had a lower percentage of grades 3 to 5 on AP exams than white students. However, Minnesota exam takers did better than students nationally, except for Asian students in Minnesota. An AP grade of at least 3, on a scale of 1 to 5, is an indicator of an ability to do successful work at most colleges.

  • Minnesota exam takers who were students of color increased from 5,169 in 2012 to 5,793 in 2013.
