This estimator does not contain the assumptions or reject edits used in Federal Methodology and bases results on the actual data entered on the screen and the following:

  • 2017-2018 need analysis formula
  • 2017-2018 Pell Grant award table (max award: $5,920)
  • 2017-2018 reported tuition and fees*
  • State Grant LME of $9,135
  • State Grant private tuition maximums of $14,488 and $5,790
  • State Grant student share of 50%
  • State Grant proration of FM PC by 94%
  • State Grant proration of FM EFC by 40% (independent with no dependents)
  • State Grant proration of FM EFC by 86% (independent with dependents)

* Duluth Business University, Presentation College, and White Earth Tribal and Community College have not yet reported numbers. Calculations for those institutions are based on 2016-2017 reported tuition and fees.
