The Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE) is launching a new website today that enhances the services they provide to students, parents, educators and policymakers.

The website will still provide information about financial aid, outreach activities and research reports, but the new format will allow for easier access and readability.

"The site has been given a visual overhaul, making it much more appealing, intuitive and informative," said Larry Pogemiller, Director of OHE. "We are especially focusing on the services we provide to students and families, making it easier for them to find the information they need to make good decisions about postsecondary education."

Students can find information on upcoming events, such as ACT and SAT tests and College Knowledge Month, as well as information on choosing and paying for college. Educators and organizations can still order copies of OHE publications for their classrooms, access Get Ready curriculum ideas and request outreach presentations.

Policy makers can access online versions of OHE reports, including the legislatively mandated accountability report, Minnesota Measures, as well as Student Enrollment Data and Tuition and Fees Data, to name a few. New formatting tools will make the data more interactive and personal.

Social media is featured prominently, with links to Facebook, Twitter and OHE's blog, Big Ed, found on the home page. There is also information on the home page about OHE's new College Planner mobile website application, a tool that is available free of charge to students to help them make good choices about their postsecondary education.

OHE's new site will be updated frequently to provide the most current information and news on postsecondary education. Visitors to the site can also sign up to receive OHE's e-newsletter, scheduled to begin in May.
