The Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE) learned today that Dream Center Education Holdings, the company that owns Argosy University, has filed for receivership in federal court. Argosy University has one campus in Eagan, MN, where approximately 1,000 students are enrolled. One-hundred and twenty new students began classes on January 16, 2019.

The Minnesota Office of Higher Education will work with the US Department of Education, Argosy University leadership and Argosy University's accreditor, WASC Senior College and University Commissioner, to prevent an abrupt closure and reduce disruptions to students.

We don't know at this time if Argosy University will remain in operation, but we know this news will raise some difficult questions and decisions for Argosy students, said Commissioner Dennis Olson, Minnesota Office of Higher Education. I want to encourage students to call our office with questions about financial aid, program transfers or just to talk through their options; we are here to help.

Olson is encouraging students to check the OHE website for regular updates and information: /mPg.cfm?pageID=2142.

Students can also contact OHE at 651-642-0567 or 1-800-657-3866.
