Summary

Governor Walz's Emergency Executive Order 20‐52, issued on May 11, 2020, authorizes postsecondary institutions to reopen their campus for in‐person education to students in programs that prepare them to enter critical sectors of the economy.

Higher education institutions can resume limited campus activities that comply with the Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1073, Minnesota Statutes 2019, Chapter 182 (“Minnesota OSHA Standards”), and the latest guidelines offered by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) related to COVID‐19.
