Yearly Budgets
The Office of Higher Education operated with a total Fiscal Year 2012 budget of $317 million. Of this:
- 61 percent comes from state appropriations
- 37 percent comes from SELF Loan funds
- 2 percent comes from federal, special revenue and miscellaneous funds
Of the $196 million in state general fund expenditures, 98 percent flows through the Office of Higher Education and directly into grants to students and institutions.
