Goals

ThreeSixty Journalism Summer Camps offers high school students who are freshmen, sophomores or juniors in the 2015-16 school year unique learning opportunities in college essay writing, reporting, interviewing, photography and writing on deadline, as well as media tours and guest speakers. Plus, students will have the opportunity for published work in ThreeSixty Magazine and on ThreeSixtyJournalism.org.


Activities

Students will learn how to write, edit and report like a professional; use photos and words to tell their story; engage with media professionals; build confidence and skills for college; have their work published in ThreeSixty Magazine; and experience campus life at the University of St. Thomas. Students who complete a ThreeSixty Journalism summer program are eligible to continue in ThreeSixty school-year programming as well as compete for a full-tuition, four-year scholarship at St. Thomas.


Program Dates

ThreeSixty offers five camp options for summer 2016, all at the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul campus between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Space is limited, and it is a competitive application process. Full scholarships are available for qualified applicants who are accepted into a camp. Option 1: One-Week News Reporter Academy, July 25-29. Option 2: Two-Week Rookie Journalist Camp, June 13-24. Option 3: Two-Week Rookie Journalist Camp, July 11-22. Option 4: Two-Week Rookie Journalist Camp, July 11-22 AND One-Week News Reporter Academy, July 25-29. Option 5: One-Week Rookie Journalist Camp, July 18-22 AND One-Week News Reporter Academy, July 25-29.
