American Indian College Fund - Institutional

The American Indian College Fund was established in 1989 to provide scholarships to American Indian students and to fund and create awareness about the community-based accredited tribal colleges and universities that offer students access to knowledge and skills alongside Native culture, language and values.

Benny Tonce Memorial Scholarship

In Memory of Benny Tonce - On September 25, 2009 longtime LLTC instructor, mentor and friend Benny Tonce passed from this life. Benny had been with the college since its inception in 1990. Awarding those FT deserving LLTC students pursuing intersts in Indigenous Leadership and studying the perservation of the Ojibwe language with financial assistance.

Leann Dick Memorial Scholarship

On December 2, 2009 Leech lake Tribal College lost one of its brightest scholars, Leann Dick, who passed from this life after a tragic accident. She was the 2009 Valedictorian who was continuing academic pursuits in Science and American Indian studies at a four year university. This scholarship supports LLTC students in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) disciplines while preserving Leann's legacy for her passions of science and the Ojibwe culture.
