Goals

Explore natural phenomena and the power of science through extraordinary plant and animal adaptations, wonders in the night sky, the power of static electricity, and marvelous chemical reactions.

Provide a historical overview of early science and how people tried to explain phenomena around them.

Introduce the scientific method and compare it to other methods of knowing


Activities

Through project based and experiential learning, campers will learn about: Botany and unique plant adaptations. Also plants used for medicinal and healing purposes. Chemistry (physical vs chemical reactions)/ Physics and Simple Machines Animal adaptations Astronomy Engineering and Technology

Activities include: Static Electricity Experiment Herbarium Sheets Squishy Circuits Camp includes field trip to active research lab or visit from a special guest from the area of expertise.
