In-state Tuition Scholarship

High school seniors from non-reciprocity states who meet any of the following requirements will automatically receive an in-state tuition scholarship: rank in the top 15 percent of their high school class, have an ACT composite score of 25, have an SAT Critical Reading and Math total of 1100 or have a PSAT Selection index of 150. Students transferring to Minnesota State Mankato who are residents of non-reciprocity states with 24 or more college-level, transferrable credits and a cumulative gpa of 3.5 or higher qualify automatically to receive the in-state tuition scholarship.

Maverick Scholarships

The Maverick Scholarship awards are a one-year, non-renewable scholarship. Our Maverick scholarships are awarded on an automatic grid system (see website for grid) using a student's high school class rank and ACT score. In order to automatically qualify for a Maverick Scholarship students must be admitted by March 1 for the fall semester. If a student's class rank and/or ACT score improve, it is the student's responsibility to provide this updated information to the Scholarship Coordinator by March 1.

Meredith Scholar Award

Awarded to a student who demonstrates the potential and commitment to pursue a scholarly career in mathematics or natural sciences. Must rank in the top 10 percent of high school class and have a minimum composite ACT score of 27.

Award Amount: $32,000 ($8,000 per year for 4 years)
Renewable? Yes, must maintain minimum GPA of 3.25 and continue to be a full-time student

Presidential Scholar Awards

Awarded to selected new students based on class rank, ACT scores, recommendations, leadership, personal essays and interviews. Students must rank in the top 10 percent of their high school class and have an ACT composite score of 26 or greater (or rank highest in their high school class) to be considered. These scholarships are renewable for four years. On-campus interviews for finalists will be held in February.

Award Amount: $20,000 $5,000 per year for 4 years
