Of all undergraduates (not including high school students), 71 percent are enrolled full-time and aged 24 or younger, but percentages vary by institution type.

  • At four-year institutions, the majority of undergraduates are enrolled full-time and are aged 24 or younger
  • At two-year institutions, the majority of undergraduates are enrolled part-time and there are more students aged 25 or older enrolled than at four-year institutions
