Summer Academic Enrichment Program

Academic summer camps for students in grades 3 to 11

Program Sponsor Information

The Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE) is excited to announce a Request for Applications (RFA) for program sponsors for the Summer Academic Enrichment Program (SAEP) for summer 2024 and summer 2025. SAEP provides stipends for low-income students completing grades 3 to 11 to attend approved summer academic enrichment programs offered by postsecondary institutions and nonprofit educational organizations located in Minnesota.  Students may use a SAEP stipend at any approved summer camp; the RFA process is the manner in which eligible institutions and organizations get their summer camps on the list of approved programs.

Please review the RFA below for more details regarding this exciting prospect for your institution or organization!

To learn more about SAEP, the program’s history and to see a demo of the program’s online application portal, OHE is hosting two virtual technical assistance sessions. The sessions will be held on:

  • Thursday, February 15, 1:00pm – 2:00pm
  • Thursday, February 22, 10:00am – 11:00am

The two sessions will be identical in content and will be hosted via Microsoft Teams. If you submit a RFA and have not previously attended a technical session, you would be required to attend one of the above sessions.

You can register for either session by emailing SAEP Program Administrator, Brenda Larter, at brenda.larter@state.mn.us.
