Augsburg College Access Program (ACAP) Scholarship

Recognizes first-year students who have graduated from high school in good standing and who participated in a college readiness program such as College Possible, TRiO, AVID, Urban Debate League, or MEP. Students who qualify for the ACAP Scholarship may also receive the Augsburg Promise Grant.

Augsburg Legacy Scholarship

The Augsburg Legacy Scholarship is awarded to full time day students working toward their first bachelors degree, who are children or spouses of Augsburg graduates; siblings of current Augsburg students; or children or spouses of current Lutheran pastors. Legacy students will receive a minimum award of $12,000 annually upon admission to Augsburg. Students who qualify for the Regents Scholarship will receive a $1,000 Legacy Scholarship in addition to their respective Regents Scholarship. Minimum award of $12,000 per year; $1,000 per year for students who receive a Regents Scholarship

Augsburg Promise Grant

Students who qualify for the ACAP Scholarship may also receive the Augsburg Promise Grant covering the total cost of tuition (does not include fees, room, or board) through grants if they have an ACT of 20 or higher, a cumulative GPA of 3.25 or higher in core courses, Pell Grant eligible, participation in a college-readiness program, resident of Minnesota and a graduate of a Minnesota high school, and must reside in the residence halls while attending Augsburg.

Augsburg Youth Theology Institute Scholarship

Students who have completed the Youth Theology Institute at Augsburg prior to their senior year of high school and have met the requirements of the program are eligible to receive a scholarship upon enrolling at Augsburg. Students must notify the admissions office that they have participated in the Youth Theology Institute at the time of application to Augsburg College.

Fine Arts Scholarship

The Fine Arts Scholarship recognizes incoming students who have excelled in art, film, music or theatre including vocal and instrumental performance, acting, design and production, who plan to actively participate in the fine or performing arts at Augsburg. This renewable award of $3,000 per year is based on an on-campus audition or presentation. Applicants need not major in art, film, music or theatre but are required to participate in a student organization and/or a performance group. Applicants may apply in more than one area of fine arts but may receive only one scholarship.

President's Scholarship

Recognizes first-year students of exceptional academic ability with strong evidence of leadership potential. Students must have a 3.5 or higher GPA in core classes OR a 27 or higher ACT composite (or a combined SAT score of 1860 or higher). Award decisions are based on academic criteria, letters of academic recommendation, leadership activities, academic essays, and an on-campus interview. To receive this award, qualified students are required to live on campus and to participate in Augsburgs Honors Program. If a Presidents Scholarship is awarded, recipients cannot receive any other Augsburg scholarships.

Award Amount: From $24,500 up to Full Tuition

Regents' Scholarship

Recognizes new first-year students of high academic achievement beginning in the fall or new spring semester. These awards are awarded based on national test scores (ACT or SAT) and high school GPA. This scholarship is automatically awarded to all qualified students who are admitted to Augsburg College.

Award Amount: $12,000 - $18,000 per year
