Credentials of Value

The Credentials of Value priority is focused on the following efforts:

  • Adopting a single statewide definition of a high-quality credential across P-20 and workforce

  • Creating a statewide inventory of credential programs, highlighting those meeting the definition of high-quality and with greatest labor market value

  • Better aligning and connecting education with industry needs

  • Developing a public information campaign focused on the range of postsecondary education and training opportunities, and the growing importance of industry-recognized, high-quality credentials

A summary of this committee's recent accomplishments, as well as the committee's 2024 goals, can be found in the most recent MNP20 annual report.

This priority is currently moving into an implementation phase, and the planning team is being coordinated by Jess Neibuhr (Senior Manager for Strategic Partnerships, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities).
