Summer Academic Enrichment Program

Academic summer camps for students in grades 3 to 11

Due to the impacts of COVID-19, the Office of Higher Education is currently working with approved program sponsors for the 2020 Summer Academic Enrichment Program.  We are working collaboratively with program sponsors to determine changes in program dates, delivery and offerings, as well as share public health guidance to keep our students safe.  On May 15, 2020 Governor Tim Walz signed an Executive Order directing the Commissioner of Education to provide a safe and effective summer learning environment for Minnesota’s students.  This Order will offer schools the flexibility for some in-person instruction if they are in compliance with Department of Health (MDH) guidelines on masking, social distancing, personal hygiene, screening, and cleaning, and adhere to MDH’s guidance for summer programs.  These public health guidelines will also apply to summer programing outside of a school setting.
