Today, the Minnesota Office of Higher Education (OHE) awarded four colleges with Concurrent Enrollment grants, totaling $462,808. Concurrent enrollment connects high school students with college courses increasing the likelihood that they will continue their postsecondary education after graduation.
“Concurrent enrollment plays an important role in helping students consider their options after high school,” OHE Commissioner Dennis Olson said. “They can earn college credits without assuming the cost and get a jump start on the path to a career. These grants advance our efforts to increase postsecondary attainment rates for all Minnesotans, and I am excited to see more students pursue their dreams because of this investment.”
The four Concurrent Enrollment Grant recipients for 2025 are:
The Concurrent Enrollment Grant Program (CEGP) was established by the Minnesota Legislature in 2015. The program aims to increase access to postsecondary education for Minnesota high school students by providing funds to postsecondary institutions for the development of new concurrent enrollment courses and the expansion of existing concurrent enrollment programs. Funds can be used to support new career and technical education course offerings or to expand of existing concurrent enrollment programs.
